Zentel Suspension or Zentel Tablets is a broadly used over
the counter medication for treating various intestinal parasites. Albendazole from benzimidazole grouping of
anthelmintic agents is the active ingredient present in Zentel Suspension and
Zentel Tablets.
What is Zentel
Used for?
It
is basically used for treating intestinal parasites which is commonly known as
worms. It is to be used over night before going to sleep and in about 8 hours
the medicine starts showing effect and most probably the next morning you will defecate
the intestinal worms harvesting in your stomach or intestine.
Pinworm
or threadworm, Roundworm, Hookworms and Whipworm are some of the parasites
which using the medicine helps.
How to know that
you have worms in your stomach?
Constipation,
diarrhea, skin irritation, rashes, hives are some of the symptoms you
need to look out for. Muscle pain, joint
pain, feeling of fatigue, constant hunger, itching near your anal region are
some other symptoms. Muscle twitching, sleepless night, frequently waking up at
night, grinding of your teeth while sleeping are further implications of worm
living in your body and you should consult your doctor or go for OTC drugs like
Zentel Suspension or tablets.
Also,
you get a tendency to feast on sugar products when you got a parasite living in
your body.
Zentel Side effects
In
general no serious side effects have been monitored with the use of the drug
but in some case stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, skin disorders may be
experienced. Normally stomach ache, nausea and vomiting eases off after about
30 minutes of administering the drug but case symptoms persist consult your
doctor.
In case
of any allergic reaction than you should consult your doctor immediately.
Normally
it is advisable to use Zentel Suspension or tablets once in over a period of
six months. Doing so keep your intestine and stomach worms free and prevents
from unwanted problems in the long run. Pinworms, Roundworms, threadworms and
tapeworms can harvest in your stomach for long and cause many problems which
are not serious but can be uncomfortable.
